While I have accumulated a massive amount of plastic kits to build, my recent work with Amanda in scratch-building has diverted my attention. Additionally, as my interest in more prototype realism grows along with my appreciation of the rustic weathered wood look, I have to re-evaluate whether the kit “belongs” on the new layout. At this point my focus is on the layout plan development which will have a heavy influence on the go/no go status of the models. I have enjoyed trying diffenent modeling techniques on some of these “cheap” kits as there is nothing to lose.
