4-4-2 Atlantic:
This kit steam engine was manfactured back in the 50s. My dad got it with the original layout. I have had it “working” at different times but have tried to go back and work on the cosmetics, super detail, and operation of the little steam engine. I then hope to spray paint a good finish on to complete the project.
0-6-0 Saddle Tank engine:
This is a current Bachman model. While it operates just fine and I had added DCC control, now I am adding sound. It has very little room so I have had to machine out some space and carve out additional space for the speaker and capacitor. Since this is a common little engine I hope to show some pictures for others who might try the same project.
2 Truck Shay:
This roundhouse kit has been a constant interest. I have collected the improvement parts, the reference book, and have started working on the kit. I want to fit DCC (and even sound if possible) so the work is slow as I spend time investigating options. Additionally, I have recently decided (2012) my HMR mountain line will be HOn3 so I will have to convert the trucks to narrow guage.
